Terms of Trade

Pluto Electrics – Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting a quote, proposal, or invoice from Pluto Electrics ("we", "our", "us"), the client ("you") agrees to the following terms and conditions, which form a binding contract.

2. Quotations

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices quoted are based on the scope of work provided. Any variations, including unforeseen conditions or client-requested changes, will be charged as additional costs.

  • Quotes are exclusive of GST unless specifically stated.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full within 7 days of invoice unless prior arrangements are agreed in writing.

  • Progress claims may be made for ongoing projects.

  • A 5% interest charge per month will apply to all overdue invoices.

  • Ownership of all materials and equipment remains with Pluto Electrics until full payment is received.

  • Payment claims may be issued in accordance with the Construction Contracts Act 2002.

4. Variations and Additional Work

  • Any additional work or variation from the original scope will be treated as a chargeable variation.

  • Variations must be confirmed in writing (email or signed documentation).

5. Cancellations

  • Cancellation after accepting a quote may result in charges for time, materials, and administration already incurred.

  • Pluto Electrics reserves the right to cancel the job in case of safety concerns or if terms are not being met by the client.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the site and provide all necessary approvals and information before work begins.

  • You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents (e.g., building consents) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Warranties and Liability

  • Workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all materials and components supplied.

  • Pluto Electrics is not liable for:

    • Pre-existing faults or unsafe wiring conditions.

    • Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or third-party interference.

    • Delays due to weather, material shortages, or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Health and Safety

  • Pluto Electrics complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

  • We expect a safe working environment and reserve the right to stop work if safety is compromised.

9. Disputes

  • Any disputes should be raised in writing within 7 days of the issue arising.

  • Disputes will be resolved in accordance with the Construction Contracts Act 2002 or through mediation where applicable.

10. Privacy

  • Any personal or business information provided will be kept confidential and only used for purposes related to the provision of electrical services.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
